On March 1st, 2023, the ProWBYO support association for the Western Balkans Youth Orchestra was founded in Aachen. On 23.05.2023, the association has been registered as a non-profit association with the register of associations at the Amtsgericht Aachen under the number VR 6365. 

The association creates the vehicle to support the activities and the development of the orchestra from Germany and the EU. To this end, it will seek funding from public institutions, sponsors and donors.

The association was founded by some members of Aachen Rotary Clubs, who have been supporting the WBYO for several years, and two journalists with a strong personal and professional connection to the Western Balkans.
