The WBYO was initiated and implemented by Artium Eudora (ArtEU), an NGO with its seat in Pristina, Kosovo. The key persons involved were WBYO Artistic Director Desar Sulejmani, an
Albanian-born conductor and pianist living in Essen/Germany, who generated the idea after the extremely positive experience with the European Summer Music Academies, and Pierre Weber, a Luxembourgish composer and pianist, who at the founding functioned as
the Executive Director of Artium Eudora.
Due to a new position in his bread-and-butter job, which led Pierre Weber to relocate to Israel, he no longer was available for his task at Artium Eudora. He was then followed as Executive
Director at Artium Eudora by Lundrim Rexha.
